However, starting from scratch in the engagement ring buying process is not the only option available when you begin your journey with us! Though designing a ring from beginning to end is one of the most heartfelt processes one could undertake, many couples are turning to the sentimental and personal value found in heirloom engagement rings.
Rings (or even heirloom diamonds) like this often hold a deep sentimental value for their new owner, though often times the style may not fit the vision of their ideal engagement ring. That’s where we come in!
The ring you see above is the CAD of a custom designed heirloom engagement ring designed by a very special client who came to us with a selection of loose diamonds that she inherited from her mother. With those diamonds, she chose to custom create a ring that would suit her own personal style while incorporating her current ring— and the one her husband of 17 years proposed to her with.
Of course, we helped her through our custom design process, beginning with the initial vision, after which we took the piece to CAD (Computer Assisted Design) to flesh out even the most minute details of the ring. We then cast the ring in her preferred metal of choice, 14kt white gold, and bezel set her mother’s stones into the setting.
The Final Product
With the help of GIA Jeweler and Studio Owner Corinne Turnbull, our client was able to take the vision from two pieces and combine them into one. The best part? She absolutely loves it!
